Thank you to the following people who helped to make the Centennial Celebration on September 27th a great success:

The Centennial Celebration Committee: Marla Gaines-Starke, Darla Hummel, Gwen and Joe Peebles, Jack Keefe, Laurel Poshard, Karen Ogan, Joanne Pritchard, Bret and Brenda Foland

Special helpers: Sharon Frizzell, Ruth Valentine, Melissa Williams, Jackie Carlson •For the family of  Wilma Baum who donated memorial funds.  Your faith in the committee gave us the courage to go forward with plans. •To the anonymous donor who provided everyone with lunch. This gift certainly allowed us to provide a hearty lunch that enticed folks to stay, browse the Great Hall, visit, and enjoy both services •Gwen and Joe Peebles and the Worship Committee for two wonderful services •Patti Dobbs who donated the beautiful spray of flowers on the altar •Denny and Joanne Pritchard for the donation of the many fall bouquets that decorated the church •Kathy Schoeninger for the beautiful logo design, handmade banner, and printed tickets •The Cookbook Committee for all the hours of typing recipes and the wonderful keepsake cookbook. •Marla Gaines-Starke and the History Book Committee. We are looking forward to the reminders, past and present, of how Centennial worships, works for God, and has fun •Jack Keefe, our historian and the one who uncovers humorous tidbits •Laurel Poshard who coordinated the Great Hall display •Joanne Pritchard who coordinated the luncheon and cookie reception •Karen Ogan for the beautiful congregational picture •Darla Hummel who made sure that we had volunteers •Joe Peebles and Darla Hummel for making the video •To all who participated in the videos and shared special memories that will be treasured for the next generations. •Al Lundy for donating the tablecloth with the logo, and provided the yard banner, the great t-shirts, sweatshirts, and polos •To the ladies of the Apostolic Foundations class who provided day care •Steve and Lucerne Brienen, our friends from First Christian, Ethan and Meredith Peebles, Bryer Foland, Diane Landry, Jan Dill, and Sarah Kenerley who did dishes, bussed tables and kept things running smoothly during the luncheon. •To the men and youth who helped to set up and take down tables and chairs, your strong backs were appreciated: Mike Kenerley, John Collins, Jeff Hatten, Steve Lienhop, Sean Bozarth, Mike Schoeninger, Jerry Fitzgerald, Ethan and Meredith Peebles, and Mikey KenerleyJeff Hatten who mowed the lawn, it looked nice as always •To the shuttle drivers who provided rides to and from Washington and Oakland Schools: Darla Hummel, Jerry Fitzgerald, John Collins, Bret Foland, Larry Carius, Jack Keefe, Steve Lienhop, Jim Sengpiel, Jay Cottrell, and Mike Schoeninger •Pastors Ellen and Joe Culpepper for putting in the extra time, effort and support needed to make this a very special event •And to anyone else whom I may have missed here. It took many people to make the Centennial Celebration a success and we all worked together to make that happen. I hope that the joy and excitement we all felt on September 27th will carry on as we go forward into the next 100 years.

Sincerely, Patti Fitzgerald

Centennial Celebration Coordinator
