Do you enjoy singing?

If so, please consider joining the Chancel Choir.  We practice in the choir loft from 7:30-8:30 on Wednesday evenings.   We have great fellowship while singing praises to the Lord.  Only requirement is that you enjoy singing.  There are no auditions!!!!  If you have questions, contact Joe or Gwen Peebles.

Chancel Choir

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!  Serve the lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing."  (Psalm 100:1-2, RSV)

The Chancel Choir sings most Sundays during September through May.  Joe Peebles is the Director and Gwen Peebles is the accompanist.

Saint Augustine said "Those who sing, pray twice."  If you would like to pray this way, come join our choir!  We practice Wednesday evenings 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Children's Choir

There are two Children's Choirs.  One is for children in the pre-kindergarten through kindergarten.  The other Choir is made up of children in grades one through five. They practice as part of our Weds@CCC program and sing in worship each fall, Christmas and spring. Directed by Gwen Peebles.

Bell Choir & Children's Chimes

Our Bell Choir & Chime Choir is Directed by Kathy Schoeninger.  The Choirs play quarterly in worship. Bell choir is for Adults & youth while the chime choir is for the younger children. Bell choir rehearses weekly  at 6:30pm on Mondays and the Chime choir meets Sunday mornings before Sunday School in the summer months in place of Sunday School. If this sounds like fun to you, please consider joining the choir!

Let the Word of Christ--the Message--have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God!
Colossians 3:16 (The Message Bible/biblegateway.com)

How It Came To Be Written

How did many of our  hymns or songs get to be written?  Knowing the history about how a song or hymn came to be adds a dynamic of blessing to ones appreciation and singing of it.
