Our Prayer Shawl Ministry
Debbie Outlaw from Centennial Christian Church introduced a prayer shawl ministry when she brought over a half-dozen prayer shawls to our worship service on Sunday, December 8, 2024. She made these shawls of yarn using various patterns. Pastor Tom Cici blessed these and other Prayer Shawls at our 10:15 a.m. worship services. A prayer card is attached to each shawl.
Members and friends which comprise the Centennial Church family, their relatives, friends, and any other community–at–large members who need to feel God’s Love and Presence are welcome to receive one of these prayer shawls. Some recipients of Prayer Shawls might include persons in need of God’s healing; persons in need of God’s Comfort or a person Grieving; two uniting, or a family wanting to adopt. Prayer Shawls may be given to a mother expecting new birth, or a blessing for a new baby. The basket of remaining Prayer Shawls and a basket for yarn to make additional shawls are located outside the Church Office. Please feel free to donate yarn, or take yarn to make prayer shawls, or simply donate prayer shawls for the basket. Thank you! |
